The 1st Quarter of 2021 is done.
That means that today is the start of Quarter 2 of 2021.
You know I love coaching. So let me ask you a few questions:
How are you different now than one-year ago? We literally just went into the lockdown with the Covid-19 pandemic a year ago, and little did we know how long it would last.
How have you changed the MOST in the last-year? There has been a lot of challenging times in the past year. On ALL levels. Hopefully, some positive changes & transformations have occurred due to the pandemic, along with many of the setbacks, challenges, adversities, and tough times that we all have faced. Identify the things that have CHANGED the MOST in your world.
What are you most excited for in the next year? We all need something to look forward to. It gives us the “juice” necessary to keep living with passion and purpose. What are you working TOWARDS that genuinely excites you for the future?
My friends, I believe that reflection and introspection are an important part of our perpetual personal growth.
It takes the right questions and the right mindset to continually work on getting better, regardless of age, career, past-failures or successes, or current challenges or adversities.
We MUST continue to work on OURSELVES.
After all, “You can only GO as far as you GROW.”
Keep Growing… Keep Demonstrating Resilience… Keep Pursuing your BEST… Keep Believing and Working Hard Knowing that…. The BEST IS YET TO COME!
I truly BELIEVE that. STAY STRONG!!!
Love you guys,
Karina
The Secret To Success Is That There Is No Secret
Happy April,
Are you ready for the secret to body transformation success? (This secret actually contributes to almost EVERY kind of success.)
It’s that the BASICS will get you (at least) 90% of the results you are looking for!
The quality & quantity of foods you eat … how much & what kind of movement you do every day … how much sleep you get … how much stress you’re under.
They all add up to SUCCESS.
“The big secret in life is there is no secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you’re willing to work.” – Oprah Winfrey.
The best thing about all of this is this: every single one of the basics impacts the OTHER basics.
They work synergistically to not only help you FEEL BETTER, but also reach your goals.
This is what I’m talking about (just one example!):
● When your nutrition is dialed in …
● You have more energy to exercise, which helps
● Boost your mood and relieve stress, which makes it easier to
● Get a good night of sleep, which helps
● Balance important hormones that help you stay feeling full & satisfied, which
● Makes it easier to keep your nutrition on-track.
● And around it goes!
Getting your basics in line helps you feel vibrant, focused, refreshed, and motivated.
In fact, if you’re NOT feeling those things, it’s a sign that at least one of your “basics” is out of whack.
What steps can you take TODAY to cover your basics?
It really does make all the difference – especially when you’re at a sticking point in your program.
If you are ready to make your results a reality, I’m here to help with a proven program. And of course, we help you to really nail those basics!
Make it an incredible day,

It's Foodie Friday!
Spring time means all things fresh AND asparagus is in season! Here is a recipe from Feasting at Home that boasts lots of flavor and beautiful color. "Good asparagus needs minimal treatment and is best eaten with few other ingredients." Yotam Ottolenghi, chef
Asparagus Salad with olives, lemon, and cous sous.
Ingredients
1– 2 bunches asparagus, trimmed
1–2 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 ½ cups dry Israeli Cous Cous (uncooked) or use orzo, quinoa, or regular cous cous - for gluten free use wild rice ( about 4 cups cooked)
½ cup kalamata olives ( pitted, sliced)
½ cup feta cheese ( optional)
½ cup toasted pine nuts (optional, sub slivered almonds)
½ cup Italian parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons mint (optional)
3 scallions, sliced at a diagonal
Zest from one lemon (divided)
Dressing:
⅓ cup olive oil
3 Tbsp whole grain mustard
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Instructions:
425 F oven.
Trim the tough ends of the asparagus off. Lay them on a baking sheet and drizzle with 1-2 T olive oil, sprinkle with a generous pinch of salt and cracked pepper, and half of the lemon zest. Roast in the oven until just tender, about 20-25 minutes. Cut into bite size pieces. (Alternatively, for faster preparation, blanch bite size pieces of asparagus, with the cous cous water, during the last 2-3 minutes of the cous cous’s cooking time.)
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add Israeli Cous Cous, and cook until al dente.
Make the dressing. In a small bowl, stir all ingredients together.
Drain couscous, and place in a large bowl. Toss it with the dressing, olives, asparagus, feta, pine nuts, fresh herbs, scallions and remaining lemon zest.
Taste and adjust salt and lemon to your liking.
Serve warm, or chill and serve as a salad.
If serving chilled, taste the salad once more before serving and adjust salt, lemon and olive oil one more time as the cous cous may soak up some of the flavorful dressing.
Rejoice! Easter symbolizes a sense of joy, renewal and new beginning.
